Who is rüceramics?

Hello, my name is Rüya, and I am a ceramic artist and designer based in Istanbul. I work mainly with clay as my chosen material, focusing on simplicity, functionality, and sustainability — values that also guide my collaborations with brands when designing new collections and products.

Alongside these projects, I create a small ceramic world inspired by ducks, where I explore playfulness, emotion, and storytelling through form. I love sharing these pieces as a gentle reminder of joy, curiosity, and the beauty found in small things.

Since 2019, I’ve been creating collections under the brand rüceramics, producing both wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces in my Kadıköy studio. My work highlights the natural beauty of clay while exploring form and texture — always rooted in a deep connection to the material.

I graduated from Yeditepe University, Industrial Design Department, and after working on various design projects, I chose to dedicate myself fully to ceramics.
